This teaching unit on athletics gives us the opportunity to instill and encourage children values of discipline, sacrifice, bodily health, and respect in a playful way, besides looking for a comprehensive child development and child in all physical, motor, emotional, social and cognitive skills.
Moreover, the foundation of this unit is to initiate students in athletic activities, in those modalities that houses the sports of athletics and that are easily transferable to the field of education, provided in a general way, yet playful. Therefore, they will be presenting various athletic activities, both individual and group development (relay), seeking to both familiarity with the sport itself, as with the experience of the competition, always from an educational standpoint.
This didactic unit is raised primarily for the area of Physical Education, and also for the interdisciplinary area of language, mathematics, environmental and artistic knowledge.
The unit will be developed for a group of 25 students of 3 rd cycle of primary education for rural school.
